Lightnovo ApS focuses on the production of unique Raman systems for broad application areas: from in-vivo skin diagnostics with our compact miniRaman spectrometers to crystallographic orientation mapping of solar cells with the advanced qRICO system (polarized Raman microscope).
Today’s Raman spectrometers and microscopes are still expensive and bulky, which limits technology development in a broader range of applications including consumer use-cases. We believe that our innovative products miniRaman spectrometer and miniRaman microscope will overcome this threshold and democratize access to Raman spectrometers and microscopes with top level performance.
With regard to polarized Raman microscopy we are proud to give insight into our qRICO system development, which is capable of doing crystallographic orientation mapping comparable to back scattering electron microscopy. This system in based on our breakthrough technology published in Nature Communications (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-019-13504-8). It works for Raman active materials with all crystal symmetries. qRICO can be used as an advanced polarized Raman microscope capable to acquire 20 polarized Raman maps obtained at different polarizations simultaneously.
